Technology Process
From detection to update, CyberDefender can inoculate all users against viruses from detection to update in approximately an hour, compared with other Internet security software providers who may take up to 12 hours or longer. While most internet security providers make security updates available on their sites within hours - most do not update their users right away because of the expense - meaning users and networks are not protected. Because of CyberDefender’s proprietary patent-pending earlyNETWORK technology - CyberDefender updates users against new virus attacks within hours of the attack without incurring significant expenses. As a result, CyberDefender provides more updates more often.

How It Works

  • Each computer in the CyberDefender earlyNETWORK is able to act as a threat monitor ensuring the widest possible alert network for new threats.
  • If any machine intercepts an unknown threat it immediately alerts CyberDefedender's Early Alert Center which ranks threats against the Universal Severity Scale and automatically generates definition and signature files.
  • The CyberDefender Alert Server then relays the new defenses over a secure high-speed client-to-client network, starting with the original reporting machine. Each relaying computer uses local bandwidth to virtually eliminate the need for central network resources, allowing updates to be released immediately instead of during scheduled intervals.
